This tour takes you in the “surroundings” of Florence visiting the old town of Siena, famous for its “Palio di Siena' ("Palio horse Race”which is one of the most famous popular Italian manifestations which takes place every year from 2nd to 16th August) and its gorgeous Basilica di San Domenico and then continue to the beautiful medieval hilltop town of San Gimignano with a stop in a traditional winery in the picturesque Chianti countryside , soaking a glass of good tuscan wine. On the way back, short stop in Greve , a tiny beautiful village in the Chianti region, to take some pictures .

The tour starts in Florence and then drive by coach to the south through the Tuscan countryside. Admire the beautiful landscape around you, full of olive groves, green hills and vineyards that make the Chianti region one of the most stunning region in Italy .

Once in Siena , you visit first the Basilica of San Domenico and its Renaissance artwork then you continue with the Siena Cathedral and then enter one of the city's contrada museums. Learn the history behind the contrades and the traditions of the famous Palio horse race, which takes place in the main square twice a year. Afterward, relax with a brief break. The tour will continue to San Gimignano, a medieval hill town famous for its impressive towers and frescoes. You have free time , so explore it before traveling to a small winery in the Chianti hillside. Walk in the vineyards, visit the barrel room and sample four delicious local wines, accompanied by snacks.

Top off your trip with a visit to the charming village of Greve in Chianti to peruse the local shops and main square. Your trip will conclude with transportation back to Florence.
