Day tours in Brittany from Rennes

Though Mont Saint-Michel is in Normandy, its bay lays in Brittany. This protected area is part of the UNESCO World Heritage and offers exceptional sceneries: salt marsh, mussel farming alignments, architectural piece of art reflecting on the bay.

MORNING - Discovery of Mont Saint-Michel
Meeting at the lobby of your hotel with your Chinese speaking guide and driver. Transfer from Rennes to Mont St-Michel (around 1 hour drive).
To fully enjoy the beauty of the place, our guide will take you through a unique journey through the Bay and the Abbey. Discover the wildlife and the history of a very special Mount and its surroundings.

After visiting Mont St. Michel,  transfer to Cancale (around 45 minutes), the most famous French oyster harbour.
Located in front ot Mont St-Michel, Cancale is a charming little harbour facing oyster fields. Every day, it is possible to buy fresh oysters at the small open-sky oyster market and enjoy the local tradition of tasting them in front of the sea.

AFTERNOON / OPTION 1 "Discovery of magnificent Grouin Peak
Walk along a magnificent cape and admire the view to the East (Mont St-Michel), to the West (Saint-Malo), and the infinite Emerald sea.
AFTERNOON / OPTION 2 "Oyster field visit
This experience starts with an exceptional immersion in the oyster fieds with a  professional guide, to understand the oyster growing proces. 
Next, you will visit a local oyster company.

For dinner you will enjoy a magnificent selection of oysters raw and cooked with two local gastronomic icons: Bordier butter & Michelin Star Chef Roellinger' spices. Paired with a glass of wine or champagne, it is the perfect way to enjoy the seaside view.

After the dinner, transfer back to Rennes.

MORNING 2.5h roadtrip along the coast 
Discover the beauty of the Emerald Coast with stops at the major sightseeing places: passing by Erquy, also supposed to be the place where Asterix and Obelix come from, Frehel cape and Fort Lalatte Castle. Ends up in Saint-Malo.
Also possible: include the visit of Fort La Latte majestic castle surrounded by the sea.

Discovery of Saint-Malo fortified city
Built up on a peninsula during the 12th century,  Saint-Malo is especially famous for its magnificent fortifications. Walking through its narrow alleys, learn about the story of the shipowners who made the fortune of the city. 
Visit the most famous pirate boat or try some local gourmet delicacies.

Re-energize Body & Soul in Saint-Malo
Surrounded by the sea, Brittany has quickly understood the value of seawater and seaweeds.
Sublimate your skin in the only thalassotherapy that offers

Private cruise in turquoise waters
Let yourself be guided through an emerald color sea on a private boat driven by a professional who benefits from an excellent knowledge of the area. Play Robinsons on a paradise island and watch dolfins at sunset.

In Saint-Malo

Galette, a salted crep, is the most famous Brittany specialty. Its recipe has been created during the 12th century: a mix of eggs, water and buckwheat that was originally brought back from Asia.
Traditional or revisited, discover this gastronomic icon with ou chef!

Afterwards, 1 hour transfer back to Rennes.

The Pink Granit Coast is admired for its 300 million years old rocks and their poetic shapes. A unique and must-see place in Northern Brittany.

MORNING
Meeting at the lobby of your hotel with your Chinese speaking guide and driver. Transfer from Rennes to Pink Granit Coast (around 2 hour drive).
Walk on the most beautiful spot of the Pink Granit Coast, around Ploumanac'h lighthouse. Carved by the sea and the wind, the unique coppery pink color of the granit blocks irradiates under the sun. This coast reveals insolit curves in front of a string of islands and islets.

LUNCH on the seaside

After lunch, 40min transfer to Plougrescant spot

AFTERNOON 
Around an hour walk to discover a very insolite house, totally isolated and built between two giant granit blocks. Admire the beauty of Nature at the Abyss spot, where waves smash on granit blocks.

Afterwards, 2 hours transfer back to Rennes
