Night Markets in Taipei
Taipei Raohe Night Market: Taipei Raohe Night Market is a must visit destination! The epitome of a traditional Taiwanese night market, this 600 metre path along Raohe Street in Songshan District is packed with fun and interesting night foods and snacks, quaint shops and stalls, and carnival games with prizes.

Ningxia Night Market: This market is all about eating as many Taiwanese 小吃 snacks as possible! The Ningxia Night market is located along Ningxia Road (寧夏路), between Minsheng West Road (民生西路) and the Taipei Circle (圓環) at Nanjing West Road (南京西路). The northern part of the market is dedicated to food, while the southern part has some games and shops to enjoy.

Taipei Tonghua Night Market: Taipei's most local night market, Tonghua caters to those looking for a more authentic night market experience without leaving downtown; it's very rarely visited by tourists, so it feels more local. Specialising in local foods, the market is primarily located along Linjiang Street (臨江街), east of the main gate at the intersection with Tonghua Street (通化街).

Taipei YanSan Night Market: Explore the remarkable culture and ethnicity that define today’s Taiwan night markets eats. As one of the first night markets in Taipei, you’ll learn and see how today’s night markets came to be. Nestled in the historical Daqiaotou district of Taipei, Yansan night market is your point of entry for a no-frills, old-school dining experience. Sample items such as slow braised beef noodle soup, freshly boiled mochi on shaved ice, the old-school smoked shark, and the unique savory tangyuan.

Gongguan Night Market: Located near Gongguan MRT station, the Gongguan Night Market is Taipei city’s biggest night market in the South district. Its distinctive characteristic is that it is located in a business district combining with clothing and accessories stores, portrait studios, coffee shops, bookstores, tea houses, and a movie theater. Since it is close to the National Taiwan University, the majority of customers are students. All the stores and shops here are at reasonable prices in order to attract students. The most famous drink in Gongguan area is the QinWaZhuangNai (Bubble milk tea). Its special ingredients are dark brown sugar tapioca and fresh milk. Other famous snacks here are ZhuXieGao (pork blood cake), LunBing (stuffed pancake), and DouHua (bean curd dessert). Cantonese foods such as Roasted Pork and Roasted Duck are also popular here.

►  Sanhe Night Market: The residents of Sanchong District primarily come from the centre and south of Taiwan, therefore Sanhe Night Market is a good chance to explore a different style of night market when compared to others in Taipei. That being said, it isn't high on the list for tourists to visit when compared to others like Shilin or Raohe.Sanhe Night Market is a nice break from the other seemingly over-commercialised night markets as it's built more for locals rather than tourists. The night market street is very long and narrow, with vendors running down the sides and direct centre for the entire length. It is very crowded. The market runs the length of Zhongyang North Road (中央北路), and is exclusively pedestrian (with the exception of a random motorcycle here and there).
