說明 Introduction

Experience a little bit of everything on our personal favorite bicycle ride in Taipei. We start our day with a traditional Taiwanese breakfast, and then bike around historic streets, traditional markets, new-age street art, scenic natural beauty, grandiose architecture, immaculate temples, and more! This ride is a great introduction to Taipei the diversity of Taipei, and the perfect way to start your day. Come hungry as breakfast is included in the ride!

 

Itinerary

Taipei Morning Bicycle Tour

Meeting poing at  MRT Minquan W. Rd. Station - After a brief introduction, we will introduce you to the bikes.

⇒ Traditional Breakfast: we begin our ride with an included and hearty breakfast of danbing, dumplings, youtiao, soy milk, scallion pancakes, sesame cakes, and many more traditional breakfast foods.


⇒ ShuangLian- Morning Market: a traditional street market where locals come to buy produce, meats, clothes and other necessities.

⇒ WunChang Temple: aDaoist temple dedicated to a deity of culture and literature that is nestled inside the morning market

⇒ DiHua Historical Street: a 19th-century riverside trading hub for herbs, medicines, dried goods, fabrics, teas, and other products.

⇒ Xiahai Temple: a festive temple often visited by those seeking to improve their love life. Delicious free tea is generously offered here.

⇒ Danshui Riverside Bikeway: spacious and scenic bike path along an expansive river with open skyline views.

⇒ Longshan Temple: the most famous, and arguably the most alluring, temple in Taipei.

⇒  Presidential Office Building: built by the colonial Japanese, this building now serves as the office of Taiwan's leader.

⇒  Taipei Guest House: this historical site once served as the house of the Governor-General of Taiwan during Japanese colonial rule in Taiwan.

⇒ Jing Fu (East) Gate: reconstructed east gate of the wall that once enclosed the capital city.

⇒ CKS Memorial Hall: a grandiose memorial dedicated to the former leader of Taiwan and the Chinese Nationalist Party. Stay and watch the changing of the guards!

You must be 18 years of age or older, or 12 years or older and accompanied by a parent or guardian to join our rides.

 

What bikes do you use? We use easy to ride, 3-speed city cruisers that comfortably fit those between 140cm and 190cm. These bikes are provided by the city of Taipei's U-bike rental system. If you bring your own bicycle, please do let us know in advance.

What should I wear? Wear what's comfortable and fitting for the weather. The Taiwan sun is really strong, so protective wear is recommended on sunny days. Please don't wear baggy pants, dresses, or flip-flops.

Should I bring water? We will provide you with a bottle of water, but you're welcome to bring extra. Please remember that Taiwan, especially during the summer, can be very hot and humid, so it is important to keep hydrated.

What is the cancellation policy? Cancellation made at least 3 days in advance will receive the full amout .
Cancellation made less then 72 hours are fully  charged.

Is riding a bike in Taipei safe? Taiwan drivers are notoriously aggressive, but rest assured! Safety is our number one priority. We will be sticking to bike trails, wide sidewalks, and quiet backroads. All participants are provided with a helmet and are given thorough instructions about safe bicycling in Taiwan. You will be safe with us!
