說明 Introduction

Hualien is located between the Pacific Ocean and Central Mountain Range on the eastern side of Taiwan. It is one of the most scenic spots in the country. Hualien is Taiwan's biggest county and much of it is made up of some of Mother Nature's best work. From the impressive gorges at Taroko National Park to the striking natural landscapes of East Coast National Scenic Area, visitors to Hualien area will find themselves among some truly magnificent scenes of nature.

Taitung is a hub of indigenous culture. The ocean, mountains, temples, cultural diversity and strong indigenous presence together bewstow a special atmosphere.

Itinerary

Day 1: Taipei - Hualien

Meet your guide/driver somewhere in Taipei and drive from Taipei to Hualien. 
Enjoy the magnificent coastal scenery, including Qingshui Cliff, towering more than 1,000 meters high and dropping almost vertically into the ocean.
Hike upon the Baiyang Trail to the Baiyang Waterfall and through the Water Curtain Tunnel.
Your day will move on with a tour through Taroko Gorge; a world-class scenic and natural wonder, with towering mountains, marble canyons, and rushing mountain streams.

Check-in at your hotel in Taroko National Park (or nearby).

Day 2: Hualien

Your second day of this tour will start with breakfast at your hotel.
Meet your guide/driver at the lobby of your hotel and drive to the area of the indigenous tribes.

► Get introduced to the rich culture of the Taiwanese indigenous tribes;
► Get to know the member of the Amis tribe living in Qimei Village and feast on delicious, authentic indigenous dishes; 
► Go shrimp fishing and enjoy a shrimp BBQ; 
► Learn how to cook indigenous-style hot pot;
► Take a soothing bath in the hot springs.

Day 3: Hualien - Taitung

Your third day will start with breakfast. After breakfast, you will meet your guide/driver in your hotel. 

► Follow Highway No. 9 through the bucolic East Rift Valley;
► Stop at Chishang, where some of the best rice in Taiwan is produced. Visit Chishang Lunchbox Museum to learn about the secrets of the delicious local rice;
► Enjoy exciting activities, including flying with a hot-air balloon, paragliding, and grass skiing;
► Explore the Liji Badlands, an area known as “moon world” for its highly photogenic, surreal landscapes;
► Visit Taitung Forest Park nicknamed “Black Forest” for its immense dark beefwood trees

Day 4: Taitung - Hualien

You will take breakfast at your hotel and after that, you will meet your guide/driver again at your hotel' lobby. 

► Take in the fresh ocean air at Jialulan Recreation Area and appreciate the unique art dotted along the peaceful beach;
► Discover the Dulan Sugar Factory, an amazing cultural gem that features a live music bar and art gallery;
► Visit Sanxiantai, a rocky coastal area with stunning views; walk across a long arched footbridge to reach a small island;
► Visit the Baxian Cave, actually a series of caves, interesting for their geological features and the religious shrines that were built inside of them;
► Tour the scenic area of Shitiping, which consists of astonishing coastal terraces, uplifted coral reefs, potholes, sea trenches, and cliffs;
► Discover the secluded Niushan Huting area, which was used as a film set by famous director Martin Scorsese and has a nice beach

Day 5: Hualien - Taipei

Your last day of this tour will start with breakfast and you will meet your guide/driver at the lobby of your hotel.

► Spend a lovely morning at Liyu Lake, the largest inland lake in Hualien;
► Enjoy biking, paddle-boating, or walking on and around the lake;
► Unwind at Pine Garden, a beautiful heritage site in Hualien City, filled with poetry and art and surrounded by pleasant nature;
► Enjoy the crescent bay and clear blue waters of the Pacific Ocean at Qixingtan Beach;
► Return to Taipei with unforgettable memories

Optional for this tour: the Aboriginal Cooking Class in Hualien: Get to know special knowledge about the local, aboriginal culture, cook like an aborignal and afterwards enjoy your self prepared dishes!
