2D/1N: Alishan
說明 Introduction
This 2 days/ 1 night tour to Alishan is made for those who like to spend a weekend by diving in the nature. With your English speaking (any other language on request) licensed guide/driver, you will get the chance to explore the beautiful area of Alishan. You will stay in the park to have your overnight in a hotel where dinner and breakfast for the next morning is included. This tour can start from Taichung, or the High speed train station in Chiayi. When you would like to arrive from Taipei or Kaohsiung, you can take the High speed train to Chiayi HSR Station where your guide/driver will wait for you.
The Alishan National Scenic Area is a mountain resort in the Chiayi County, famous for the sunrise and the "clouds ocean", a dense and thick sea of clouds. It is 415 km² in are, the main recreation site is situated at about 2,200 meters above sea level. It includes mountain wilderness, villages, waterfalls, high altitude tea plantations, the Alishan Forest Railway, and several hiking trails. Souvenir shops also sell tasty cookies and pastries flavored with ashitaba (明日葉), a medicinal herb reputed to give long life.
Itinerary
Your tour will start with a comfortable pick-up at a hotel in Taichung or high speed train station in Chiayi for those who will arrive by HSR from Kaohsiung or Taipei.
Next; transfer with licensed guide/driver to Alishan with a stop along the way for lunch (not included). On the way to Alishan, there are some nice Japanese style hot spring spot (let us know if you would like to spend an hour in one of the spa). The area is also famous for its production of high mountain tea and wasabi, notably tea and carvings and handicrafts made from red cypress. On the way to Alishan, stop in Elephant mountain national Scenic area to learn about tea culture and magnificent view.
After arrival in Alishan Scenic area, check in at the hotel and if you stay in the 4* hotel option, dinner at your hotel (it will be included in the price). If not, dinner is on your own accord.
Early in the morning you will take the Alishan Mountain Railway to Zhushan Station and witness one of the famous sunrises. (Tickets not included, please pay for your guide) With the guide you will then have a walk at the Alishan Forest Recreation Area and meet the thousands year old Taiwan cypress tree.
After this experience, you will retun back to the hotel. On the way back, you can walk down and see the ancient cypress trees or, if you prefer, you can also take the train back.
You will have breakfast at the hotel, followed by check out and a transfer by car to Taichung or Chiayi train station. On the way back we suggest some stops along the road; there are several train stations with small villages and old street markets as well as stunning plantations tea.

Pick up/drop off: Taichung hotel or Chiayi HSR Train station. HSR train ticket from Taipei or Kaohsiung can be booked.
Price includes:
► 2 days private car and private/licensed English speaking (any other language on request) guide/driver available up to 9 hours per day;
► 1 overnight in a hotel in Alishan in a double room with breakfast (in 3*); or with dinner & breakfast in the 4* hotel;
► Parking Fee in Alishan and taxes;
