Living in a Trullo is a very unique experience both for its particular characteristics and also for its historical significance. Trullo is one of Puglia's two UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

說明 Introduction
....What is a TRULLO ?....
There is probably nothing that signals your arrival in Puglia more than the iconic sight of a TRULLO, the unique conical constructions with limestone-tiled roof.
A typical trullo has a cylindrical base with a conical limestone-tiled roof. Though built without cement, their thick white-painted stone walls ensured coolness in the summer and warmth in the winter. The roof was often painted with an evil eye, a cross or an astronomical symbol and topped by an ornamental flourish.
The reasonable reason why in the past they built TRULLI is that they were generally built as temporary dry-stone accommodation that could be dismantled whenever necessary when the property tax collector came to town, but as soon as the inspector went away, the trulli would spring up again and the locals would move back in!
Nowadays many of them have been converted into excellent and luxury holiday homes while in others still lived in by locals.
It's a very unique experience, don't miss it !
Itinerary
Upon request, we will arrange a private transfer from Bari airport or Bari train station to the hotel .
Check-in in Hotel .
In the afternoon you travel director will welcome you to Puglia and give some information about the trip.
Your Puglia experience will start with a typical apulian dinner with some local specialities and wine .
Overnight in a Trullo .
In the morning enjoy unique sightseeing of Alberobello, UNESCO site famous for Trulli ancient stone houses with a round shape and a conical roof. In Alberobello guided tour with local guide along the Trulli district “Rione Monti”and visit to St Anthony's Church, the unique trullo church in the world.
Lunch on your own. We will suggest local restaurants for your lunch.
Then visit of Locorotondo. The old town layout follows a circular plan, with narrow and concentric
arranged streets lined with whitewashed houses called Cummerse.
In the afternoon will visit a local winery with tasting of different varieties of wines: white, rosè and red wine.
Return to your accommodation and dinner on your own.
In the morning we will go to the Adriatic Coast. Visit of Monopoli. This town was a thriving seaport in Byzantine and Norman times, although its strategic position made it the object of regular attacks by pirates.
Free time for your relaxation and lunch at your leisure.
In the afternoon drive to Ostuni, best known as the “white city”, for its historical downtown houses completely white painted.
Return to your accomodation and dinner on your own.

In the morning with your driver you will move to the Salento area, the South part of Puglia region.
Lecce is the main city of Salento area. The superb beauty of its churches and elegant noble mansions attracts a great number of visitors, because this city is the capital of the Baroque art, for this reason Lecce is called “the Florence of the Southern Italy”.
The Duomo of Lecce, the 2nd century Roman amphitheater and the beautiful Basilica of Santa Croce are some of the most important sites that you can't miss in this beautiful city. Walking guided tour with local guide.
Lunch at your leisure.
Than you will visit Otranto, the eastern point of Italy. It is full of interesting sights to visit while wandering through the town’s maze of narrow streets and passages. Walking through the historical downtown you will admire the medieval castle and the ancient Cathedral where one of the biggest mosaic of Europe is kept.
Return to your accomodation in the evening and dinner at your leisure .
Lecce
Otranto
In the morning we will visit a local farm famous for the production of Apulian organic cheese. You can taste freshly hand-made excellent Mozzarella and other Apulian cheeses!
Then we will visit Polignano a Mare, a characteristic Mediterranean fishing village that stands on a rocky cliff. Walking tour through the historical downtown with its houses and terraces directly overlooking the sea and ice cream tasting in a local Gelateria, where you can enjoy an authentic hand-made ice cream. Polignano is famous for its hand crafted ice cream!
Upon request we can arrange for you special lunch or dinner in a characteristic restaurant: Grotta Palazzese Restaurant, one of the top 10 unique restaurants in the world. This restaurant is located in Polignano a Mare downtown.
