What does GMAT mean?

Serious about a future career in business?

9 out of 10 new MBA enrollments globally are made using a GMAT score.

The GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) is a 3½-- 4 hour standardized exam designed to predict how test takers will perform academically in MBA (Masters in Business Administration) programs.

Unofficially, the GMAT score is also often used as part of the "first look" that admissions officers give applications.

Minimum requirements:
• You must be at least 18 years old.If you are between 13 and 17 years old, you must get permission from a parent or legal guardian.
• You may take the exam no more than five times within a rolling 12-month period and no more than eight times total.
• You must wait at least 16 days after you take the exam before you can take it again.

GMAT Score Ranges
The total GMAT score ranges from 200 to 800 including verbal and math section. Most students scored around 500.
There are four sections on the GMAT: verbal, quantitative, analytical writing, and integrated reasoning.
Your GMAT total score report consists of five parts: total scaled score, verbal scaled score, quantitative scaled score, analytical writing assessment, and integrated reasoning score.
A total GMAT score of 650 or above will put you into the top 25% of all test takers.

The GMAT Exam is Computer Adaptive. What Does That Mean?
The GMAT is different from most other standardized tests because it's adaptive. That means that questions will get harder or easier based on how well you're doing. In other words, every test taker will see a slightly different set of questions and be scored based on the questions he or she sees.

What is the language of the test?
Since the GMAT is typically used for admissions to international universities, it is conducted only in English.
