The 'Tour of Italy' course is a study programme that can be done in 2, 3 or 4 weeks. You learn the Italian language and fully experience Italian culture, staying in all or some of the 4 available cities, as chosen by the student.

The Italian language course is the intensive course and consists of 4 Italian lessons a day, with a total of 20 lessons a week. Find out more about the details of the intensive Italian course, the location of the course is chosen by the student.

The minimum stay in each city is one week.

► Learn and go in Florence! Discover Firenze with an Italian Language teacher as your guide! 
You will be accompanied by an Italian language teacher, specialized in art history, who will guide you through the most important Florentine monuments and will introduce you to the Italian language and culture.

DURATION: 3 hours

Your holiday in Florence begins with a lesson on the "Pleasure of 'Caffè' " and having breakfast in an historical Bar in the main square of Florence, Piazza del Duomo, admiring the light of the Cathedral's marbles. It will follow an insightful walk through small historical stone streets, between past and presents where the Art of Roman, Medieval, Renaissance and Modern blend. During this walk you will see Churches, Palaces ("Palazzi"), Towers, Squares, Bridges so that together we can observe what was the dream of the Medici's Florentine family during the late 14th century: "to create an ideal city"!LOCATIONS: An Italian Caffetteria / Piazza del Duomo / Piazza della Signoria / The Old Bridge "Ponte Vecchio" / Via Por Santa Maria and the market at "Il Porcellino" / Piazza della Repubblica / Piazza Strozzi

► Italian Cuisine - Culinary Arts for Amateurs and Professionals 
Duration: from 2 to 4 weeks
Lessons: 1 meeting of 3 hours per week; 2 in 2 weeks or 4 in 4 weeks

The course is based one meeting of approx. 3 hours a week and shaped for all potential participants, also for the novice who is interested in learning about cooking.

During each lesson the students prepare and cook a different complete menu which consists of typical dishes of Italian cuisine in the tradition of genuine simplicity. At the beginning of each lesson the teacher explains the menu of the day and distributes the work. During the preparation and the cooking of the food, the teacher demonstrates, explains and gives valuable hints and tips. The students prepare the table and dine together. Each student or pair of students presents and serves to the others the dish they have prepared.

This course is organized in such a way that the students can experience with their own hands the way of cooking in the Italian style. Participants receive a recipe book including a vocabulary in several languages.

In addition to our Culinary Arts for Amateurs, our schools offer special cooking courses for professionals. In Rome, we collaborate with one of the biggest names of Italian and International cuisine, the "Gambero Rosso" culinary arts school. Every month, the school organizes stages and special programme courses which treat specific subjects like: culinary tradition of Val Pusteria, the Traditional Roman cuisine, menus for special holidays, etc..

► History of Design in Milan

The course tells the story of industrial design from its origins, to more recent times, through the main people and movements that have marked the history of modern world design. Students will have the opportunity to analyze the most famous creations, from the 'Lambretta' scooter, to the lamps of Giò Ponti, from the Bauhaus to magazines of the sector, with a focus on current Italian design.

A historical retracing of the development of design, provides a study of the historical, social and economic context of the movements which have marked history from the year 1900. After gaining a general knowledge of the international processes of the development of industrial design, the teaching will focus on the Italian experience and its contemporary development in space and architectural design. The course will also analyze concepts of form, series, type, standard and system, in relation to the developments dealt with in the course.

Lessons: 40 of Italian language course + 40 of Fashion course

The Intensive Fashion and Italian Course is a two week curriculum, during which students will follow two parallel paths: 4 Italian language lessons every morning in international classes and in the afternoon 4 hour practical lessons, both held at Accademia Costume e Moda - ACM (Rome Costume and Fashion Academy).

In the two weeks of the course, the teachers at ACM take students through intense training, intended to help create an piece or an original model on their own. Sectors covered by the course: Design, Modeling and Prototyping Bags; Design, Modeling and Prototyping Shoes; Costume for the Performing Arts; Communication, PR and External Relations; Introduction to Fashion Design; Fashion Portfolio; Fashion Drawing.

Along with the specialized classes, we provide an Italian language course in which students have the daily opportunity to enhance their communication skills, working with people from all over the world under the guidance of language professionals in a stimulating, relaxed, and fun environment.

► Leather Working Courses
The leather goods manufacturing course is offered by Scuola Leonardo da Vinci in Florence and has a program that is adaptable to students’ different time needs.

As a matter of fact, participants can choose to attend a half-day or a day course, and for those who wish to deepen this subject, can last from 3 to 6 months.

HALF DAY COURSE
The Half Day course begins with a short lesson about the materials used in creating leather products. Afterwards the Master Craftsman teaches how to cut, assemble and finish a handsome book cover.
The course fees include the finished book cover with blank page journal inside.

FULL DAY COURSE
The Full Day course begins with a short lesson about the materials used in creating leather products. Afterwards participants assemble and finish a handsome leather pouch-stile handbag.
The course fees include the finished handbag.

1 MONTH COURSE (Special course, working exclusively handmade)
In this course, the student will acquire knowledge of the working phases of a leather product, usually a bag, exclusively done by hand and without the use of sewing machines. The phases are cutting, drilling, assembly, sewing, finishing. The finished product remains in the possession of the student.

LONG TERM COURSES

3 MONTHS COURSE 
This course is designed to teach students all basic elements of the leather crafts. Participants receive a sampling of the various disciplines (analysis of the different materials, design and pattern making, cutting, foldering, fleshing, assembling and finishing) and will learn how to create and finish important leather goods.

6 MONTHS COURSE 
The second part of this long term course is focuses on the deepening of the leather manufacturing and ending with a professional exam.
