The port of Bari, on the Adriatic coast, is mainly used for passenger transport. During a stop in Bari, get ready to visit this city rich in history and its surroundings, especially Matera, declared a UNESCO heritage site and designated European Capital of Culture 2019. "Bari Vecchia" is the old part of the city that, with its fortress in part Norman and partly Swabian, the Romanesque basilica of San Nicola which stands on the ruins of the Byzantine palace, the cathedral of San Sabino from the 12th century and a dozen churches of the same period, still preserves the traces of the conquerors who succeeded one another in the centuries.

The harmony between the crystalline blue of the water and the white of the villages located at the top of the cliffs is truly exceptional. Take advantage of the stop in Santorini to go to the lava beaches. The black color makes them truly spectacular places. Archeology lovers cannot miss a visit to Akotiri. Some excavations have brought to light Minoan ruins and a city that dates back to the Cycladic civilization.
