Cambodia is a Southeast Asian nation whose landscape spans low-lying plains, the Mekong Delta, mountains and Gulf of Thailand coastline. Situated on the Indochinese peninsula, Cambodia is bordered by Thailand and Laos on the North and Vietnam on the East and South.



 

Cambodia offers today an incredible range of scenic locales; from its azure seas and white sandy beaches to the mist shrouded mountains. And all throughout, the land and ist people is imbued with a rich cultural heritage to be found anywhere from our stony temples to the great lake of Tonle Sap, to our hill tribes of the mountain region. Its busy capital, Phnom Penh, is home to the art deco Central Market, glittering Royal Palace and the National Museum's historical and archaeological exhibits. In the country's northwest lie ruins of Angkor Wat, a massive stone temple complex built during the Khmer Empire. There are many activities can be arranged during your holiday in the Kingdom of Cambodia.

Itinerary

Day 1: Phnom Penh – arrival ̣- city tours (no meals)

Our guide & coach will wait and pick up at Phnom Penh International Airport, then transfer to hotel and check in.

In the afternoon, enjoy your half day trip explore the city.
First, visit Wat Phnom, which is situated near the northern boundary of the city. The site contains some good examples of Khmer architecture and statues. Continue along the lively riverfront to the Royal Palace. This palace dates back to 1866 and houses the Silver Pagoda, named for the over 5000 heavy silver tiles that cover its floors.

Day 2: Phnom Penh – Choeng Ek Killing fields, Tuol Sleng Museum

In the morning, visit National Museum then continue visiting Toul Sleng Genocide Museum (S-21) a memorial and a testament to the madness of the Khmer Rouge regime, Toul Sleng Kept extensive records, leaving thousand of photos of their victims and the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek where about 17,000 people were killed during the Pol Pot Regime. We also visit Toul Tompong market (Russian market), the best place in town for souvenir shopping, having a large range of real and fake antiquities. Items for sale include miniature Buddha, silk, silver, jewelry, gems.

Day 3: Phnom Penh – Udong Stupas

Depart from Phnom Penh. En route, visit a Cham Muslim village. Arrive at Phnom Baset. Visit the pre-Angkorian temple (8th century) and the pagoda to view the reclining Buddha. Enjoy the beautiful view of the surrounding plains and rice-fields from the hilltop.

Drive to Udong then, visit the various temples and the three large stupas where the ashes of three former Kings are preserved. Next, visit the most impressive structure of the site, the “Vihara of the 18-Cubit Buddha”. En route to Phnom Penh, stop to visit a silver craft village.

Day 4: Phnom Penh – Siem Reap

Breakfast at hotel then transfer by car to Siem Reap (5-6 hours drive), on route, stop at Skoun, a quaint town where you can discover a Cambodian delicacy, deep-fried tarantula!!!

 


Arrival in Siem Reap, check-in your hotel & relax.

After a short rest, transfer to visit the amazing temple of Cambodia, Angkor Wat then Bakheng Hill temple with sun set include from the top of this hill.

Day 5: Siem Reap – Angkor Thom and Angkor Ruins

All day tour of the ruins of Angkor Wat: Angkor Thom and the Southern Gate of Bayon, the temples of Ta Prohm, Ta Keo, Chau Saytevada, Thommnoun, Bontey Kdei, Preh Khan, Neak Poan, Sras Srang and Kravann. Return to hotel, free evening.

Day 6: Siem Reap – Great Lake Tonle Sap and Aspara show

Boat trip on Tonle lake and visit of floating village of Chong Kneas.
Evening Khmer performance with tasting of Khmer food.

Day 7: Siem Reap – Banteay Srei – Ecole d'Artisans d'Angkor – departure flight

After breakfast at your hotel, transfer to visit Banteay Srei temple, then back to visit (if time permits) continue to visit Les Chantiers Ecole d'Artisans d'Angkor and Old Market before transfer to the airport.
