Itinerary

Taipei Classic - Schedule

Meet with your guide at Taipei 101 Mrt Station exit 5 (Red Line ) around 10.00 am.

We will start with Taipei's skyscraper masterpiece: Taipei 101. The tour guide will lead you to the top of the tower to enjoy the wide open birdview of the capital from one of the top ten tallest buildings in the world.
You will reach the observation deck with one of the fastest elevator in the world. It merely takes just 40 seconds from ground level to the 89th floor, situated at 382 meters and the lift is equipped with atmospheric pressure regulatory systems to avoid discomfort (ears 'popping') for the occupants.
Taipei 101 is designed to withstand the typhoon winds and earthquake tremors that are common in Taiwan thanks to its giant Mass Dumper, weighing 660 Tons! Essentially acting as a giant pendulum, the enormous steel sphere moves slightly back and forth to counter any motion of the building itself. It is an engineering marvel meant to limit the vibrations of the 1,667-foot tall building. There are only three buildings applying this technology and Taipei 101 is the only one that is open to the public so make sure you join us!

On the way to Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall you will have the chance to try the famous Taiwan bubble tea.

We will head to another famous place in Taipei: Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall
It is a memorial to the Republic of China's National Father, Dr. Sun Yat-sen, and was completed in 1972. Enjoy the solemn ceremony of the guards changing in front of the Sun Yat-Sen statue.

By metro you will then visit the mystic temple in Taipei: Longshan Temple. It was founded in 1738 and dedicated to the Buddhist Bodhisattva of Mercy (Kuan-in in Chinese, or Avalokitesvara in Sanskrit).

After the visit of the temple, we will have a little walk in to the famous Herbs alley. Herb Alley 青草巷 (pinyin: Qīngcǎo Xiàng) is a minor attraction immediately adjacent to the Lóngshān Temple 龍山寺  in Wànhuá District 萬華區, Taipei. Hundreds of years ago, long before western medicine came to Taiwan 台灣, it was common for people to visit the temple, pray to the relevant gods, and receive herbal prescriptions for whatever ailed them....

Surrounded by a night market and a Snake alley, this area is full of interesting and local alleys waiting to be discovered.

We will finish our tour in the night market enjoying some local food!
