說明 Introduction

The Alishan National Scenic Area is a mountain resort in the Chiayi County, famous for the sunrise and the "clouds ocean", a dense and thik sea of clouds. It is 415 km² in are, the main recreation site is situated at about 2,200 meters above sea level. It includes mountain wilderness, villages, waterfalls, high altitude tea plantations, the Alishan Forest Railway, and several hiking trails. The area is one of the major landmarks associated with Taiwan and it is very popular among tourists and climbers. The area is also famous for its production of high mountain tea and wasabi, notably tea and carvings and handicrafts made from red cypress. Souvenir shops also sell tasty cookies and pastries flavored with ashitaba (明日葉), a medicinal herb reputed to give long life. Alishan is well known for its sunrises, and on a suitable morning one can observe the sun come up on a sea of clouds in the area between Alishan and Yüshan.

Kenting is the paradise of leisure and fun, although Kenting National Park is also located in Kenting, these two places should not be confused as the same destination. Kenting is the wider area that includes small townships as well as the national park. The main town is Hengchun, where most of the hotels are located and where you can rent a bicycle or a scooter to reach the Kenting National forest recreation area - well know for its tropical climate and sunshine, scenic mountain and beach. The Alishan National Scenic Area Administration was established in July 2001 and is blessed with bountiful natural resources, such as sun rise views, a sea of clouds and old forests. For years, Alishan has been famous for its historical forest railway and indigenous tribes. Relax and immerse in its charm. Its tropical climate - mild in the winter - is atracting both travellers and local Taiwanese all year round. In March there is the Spring Scream rock-band festival.

Sun Moon Lake Divided by Lalu Island, the Sun Moon Lake scenic area got its name from the unique terrains that look like sun on one side and crescent moon on the other. Crowned as one of the Eight Wonders of Taiwan, Sun Moon Lake is also the most famous source of hydroelectric power; offering key tourist themes - “high mountain and lake”, “indigenous culture”, and ”nature ecology,” the Sun Moon Lake Scenic Area attracts more than six million visits each year.

Taichung is located in the west-central part of the island of Taiwan. It has a pleasant climate with an average annual temperature of 23.0 degrees Celsius. The weather is mild and temperature with few raining days per year thanks to the Central mountain, that "protect" Taichung from storms, typhoon and heavy rain. Taichung ("臺中" or "台中"; literally "Central Taiwan"), officially known as Taichung City, it has a population of over 2.7 million people, making it the third largest city on the island after New Taipei City and Kaohsiung. Taichung is famous for its night markets with local food specialities and offers plenty to satisfy one's thirst for art and culture!
